Geremy’s Peculiar Snaps – Ep. 001

G

I’ve had Snapchat for a while now, but I’ve struggled to find its place in my life.

I wasn’t a huge fan of creating content that would disappear in 24 hours, so my account remained unused. But recently I thought about bringing back my “Geremy’s Peculiar Life/Week” video series and realized that Snapchat could be a good medium for it, as long as I released a compilation of my “snaps” on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

So here is the first episode of Geremy’s Peculiar Snaps, which captures my random yells, silly puns, and overall awkwardness as I learn how to use this thing called Snapchat.

Music: 23.50

M

This year I had a goal to produce and release a rap song before the end of the year. Now that 2016 is a week and a half away, I had no choice but to attempt to meet the goal. I present to you…23.50!

Title Explanation

The title of the song is called 23.50 because it is 23 seconds long and contains 50 words.

Lyrics & Explanations

The year is almost over, but Peculiar PPL, we are just getting things started
There is a tension that exists in the dichotomy of something coming to the end while something else simultaneously begins. While “normal people” are starting to wind-down, Peculiar people around the world are ramping-up.

Also, the brand Peculiar PPL is just starting to do amazing things!

We’re full of life, but say goodbye to the dearly departed.
A wise man once said, “some people die at 25 and aren’t buried until 75.” This line reflects on the notion that Peculiar people are vivacious and living life to the fullest, but there are some people who choose to simply exist. As a result, Peculiar people must say “goodbye” to these people.

Also, this is also a way to pay respects to the people who lost their life throughout the course of the year. Rest-in-peace and pour out a drink for the homies.

I’m running this track, face the fact I’m having fun
This triumphant declaration suggests that the rapper is the commander of the musical track and he’s having fun while doing it.

This is also a metaphor for a marathon runner who literally sprints on a track and has fun in the process.

I made a song this year, but cut the music, ’cause this song is done!
The purpose of the song is to meet the goal of creating a rap song in 2015. Therefore, this is a reminder that the goal has been met and the shenanigans can finally come to a close.

Maybe I’ll release this song for sale, only on cassette tape for $23.50… Maybe I’ll release a remix in the future… Maybe I’ll record an album of 120 songs that are all under 30 seconds each… Maybe.

The Peculiar Mission

T

My most ambitious goal to-date has been to greatly affect the the world in a positive way. When I thought of a strategy to do this, I decided that I wanted to provide value to those who multiply value to others. Therefore, if I provide value to people who are passionate about making a positive change in the world, then those people will be equipped and inspired to make a difference in the lives of countless other people. My way of providing value to these people was to create the brand Peculiar PPL.

When I created the company, it was a bit unorthodox in its approach because was never about the products— it was all about the people. So, to make this crystal clear and to ensure that I always remained focused on the people, named the brand after the people that it serves— Peculiar PPL.

I’ve always had a hard time articulating this mission, so recently I wore one of my favorite Peculiar PPL dress shirts, set up a video camera and spoke about the company. After about an hour of recording, I realized two things: 1) It’s odd (and oddly entertaining) to speak to an imaginary person in front of a camera, and 2) I love the Peculiar PPL brand…a lot!

Before this video officially hits the public, I wanted to share it with you! Here is my brief video about the brand Peculiar PPL!

Geremy’s Peculiar Life: The West Coast Vacation

G

The last time that I tried to go on a vacation, I had a little run-in with a lawnmower, so I needed a do-over. But instead of just going to San Francisco, I wanted to pack three other destinations into the same trip. So at the end of June, I went on a trip with four destinations in mind: San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Rather than writing extensively about my vacation, I’d rather show you. Here is a new episode of Geremy’s Peculiar Life, which features some scenes from my vacation to the West Coast!

Geremy’s Peculiar Week – Episode 13

G

This week a major storm hit New Jersey and although nothing in my house was damaged, we have been left without power (and heat) since Monday 10/29. Although we are on the 6th full day without power, I chose to make the best out of the situation and use my charged laptop to edit some snippets of my week into a video. I won’t allow the lack of power won’t slow me down or dampen my mood! I hereby present to you a new episode of Geremy’s Peculiar Week (uploaded to you via Starbucks’ wifi connection)!

Geremy’s Peculiar Week – Episode 12

G

This week’s video is based around my weekend trip to Michigan with my little brother, in which we spent 12 hours traveling, driving and exploring. Thanks to a a private jet, a variety of iPhone apps, and a wonderful team of assistants, I was able to arrange the entire last-minute trip 12 hours before departure.

Unfortunately I inadvertently deleted the majority of footage from the second half of my trip and the remainder of the week, but alas here is my video montage of scenes from my Peculiar Week!!
